Can there be a movie of FF8 same as FF7 has their advent of children?

There has been said that the square won't be making a remake of final fantasy 8 in ps2 or ps3. So, instead of a remake, Will they make a movie of it ? Just like FF7 has a movie, FF7: Advent Children? =)
