What are some good animals to do research on for an extra credit project?

I need an animal that is not very well known by most people. an animal that some people have NEVER heard of. It cant be something simple like a dog,cat,lion,tiger,bear,and kangaroo. These things will not be excepted by my teacher so i need things really cool. Endangered things and stuff really rare. Animals from other continents then the U.S thx this is such an important project for me
