Why do so many surviving American POWs of the Vietnam War detest McCain?

Does it have anything to do with the 20+ anti-American propaganda films he made as a POW for the N. Vietnamese in exchange for better treatment? Those propaganda broadcasts were not only shown to the VietCong soldiers at their pep rallys, they were also shown to the American POWs in the prison camps to demoralize them when they refused to cooperate with their captors.
