Do you believe we are on the verge of the outbreak of World War III ?

Things are very complex and dangerous at the moment. There are a lot of in the air (Russia-Georgia war, Israel-Iran-America standoff, Afghan war, plans to impeach Musharraf in neighbouring Pakistan, ongoing war in Iraq) and I just hope someone doesn't drop one of them. It would only take one false move - the article you quoted suggests the sinking of a US ship, but obviously an Israeli strike on Iran would be much worse - and the whole tinderbox could ignite. I am more scared than I've been in a while, but I hope and believe that the world's presidents, politicians, generals and diplomats will make sure things don't get out of control. Why? Because the consequences would be unthinkable.
